Kehillas HaGra’s new building will serve the kehilla and the RBS community at large in the following ways:

  • Adequate davening space for members and their children, with ample room for future growth of the dynamic kehilla.
  • Much emphasis has been put into providing excellent acoustics to maximize one’s davening for both men and women.
  • Many meeting rooms have been planned so that numerous shiurim can be ongoing simultaneously.
  • Special rooms have been designated for women’s shiurim and for children’s activities.
  • An office and meeting space for The Gra Beis Din to deal with local Choshen Mishpot issues will be on premises.
  • There will be a Bais Ho’roah for daily halachik questions and advice from the Rov.
  • There will be an Otzar Haseforim and children’s library with thousands of books as well as computer and printing stations with the Otzar HaChochma program (40,000 Sefarim) and the Bar Ilan Program.
  • We will have a very large Simcha hall that will serve the needs for simchos and activities for the entire neighborhood.

We have chosen one of the world’s most experienced architects, having built over 300 shuls.  He has designed a beautiful and functional building that will serve the needs of the community for many years to come.

After much consideration and numerous revisions, we have finalized the building plans which have being submitted to the authorities for final approval. We hope to start construction in the summer of 2013. Once started, we estimate the entire building process to take between 2 and 3 years.
